My main hobbies are photography and home computers, I also enjoy travel photography some of which can be seen in my travelogues. I have at various times tried all mediums of photography. I gained a Licentiate in general photography with B.P.A. and achieved a distinction in City and Guilds Landscape Photography module and have had images produced in magazines and local papers and won awards at club level. I have a C.I.T. certificate in Desktop publishing using MS Publisher and have also worked with Quark Xpress software. I produced the Leigh Camera Club magazine, 'In Focus' and the Annual Exhibition catalogue. I still use standard cameras and film and occasionally a Digital camera to capture my images which are then worked on in Adobe PhotoShop. Table top and Creative photography also has an appeal to me, as can be seen with some of the images in the portfolio. Designing web pages and working with Adobe PhotoShop to manipulate images is probably the most common operations on my computer along with desktop publishing. This site was created using AceExpert software, which I find gives good results, I also use Front Page and Netscape composer. The images on the these pages show a wide range of photography using conventional equipment. All these images were taken on either negative or transparency film and scanned into PhotoShop using a Minolta Dimage film scanner.
